Private MRI & Ultrasound Scans
Modern technology allows doctors to see inside your body in a way previously only possible through surgery. Alongside more familiar tools such as X-rays and blood tests, advanced equipment such as our MRI and CT scanners can help your doctor identify and monitor a variety of conditions.
MRI Scans
MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and it is designed to create detailed images of the inside of your body, using a powerful magnet and radio waves. You can be recommended an MRI scan for a number of reasons. An MRI scan is often used to look at tissue around joints and bones, and can detect conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, crepitus and tendon tears. They can also be used to diagnose heart defects, diseases and tumours. MRI scans play a crucial role in modern diagnostics, guiding treatment decisions, assessing disease progression and helping doctors plan surgeries or therapies with precision.
USg scans
USG scans, also known as an ultrasound, uses sound waves to product images of the inside of your body. It can pick up changes in your organs, tissues, vessels and joints. Ultrasounds can be used to help diagnose health problems and can be used in certain procedures and during pregnancy. Ultrasounds are commonly used to examine muscles and joints for injury or conditions such as arthritis, and to assess the abdomen, including the liver, gallbladder, kidneys and pancreas. They can also be used to check reproductive organs such as the womb and ovaries, or the prostate and testes, as well as the breasts when investigating lumps alongside other tests like mammograms and biopsies.
